Rachael Buchan Awarded Modern Apprenticeship In Engineering
Prior to starting with Equalizer, Rachael had completed her Performing Engineering Operations (PEO) SVQ Level 2. Whilst studying this at the North East Scotland College (NESCol) she became aware of the Modern Apprenticeship programme as an alternative route to enter the engineering sector - one which would enable her to continue with her studies whilst working and earning a salary.
Rachael was employed by Equalizer as a Bench Technician in August 2013 and since then has received her National Certificate (NC) in Manufacturing Engineering and her Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering (Fitting and Assembly) SVQ Level 3.
With the above achievements under her belt, last month Rachael was awarded a certificate for completing her Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering (Fitting and Assembly). This was presented to her at an awards evening at the North East Scotland College, Fraserburgh Campus. Managing Director, John Morgan, also attended the ceremony.
Rachael is now studying for her Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Engineering Practice which she hopes to complete by May 2017.
