Flange spreading tool innovators, Equalizer International announces new MD appointment
Equalizer International Limited, flange tool maintenance expert, has appointed John Morgan as its new Managing Director. John, who has been Equalizer’s Director of Engineering for the past five years, succeeds Ian McCormick Chairman and MD for the company for its 20-year history. Ian relinquishes his role as MD but will remain as Chairman focussing on strategic and international expansion. The announcement appeared in the Press & Journal Business Coverage on Monday 29th and was also in the daily Energy Voice update.
John has led the Equalizer’s research and development department since he joined as Engineering Manager in 2006 which has strengthened the company’s global reputation for developing innovative and high quality flange maintenance tools for the oil and gas, renewable energy, utilities and mining industry sectors. John takes up the mantle as Equalizer is preparing to embark on an ambitious growth programme and fulfilling the potential that he saw eight years earlier; further details will be announced as progress continues.
In addition to heading up the R&D department which has a first class design team at the company’s Aberdeen HQ, John will also lead Equalizer’s operational activities which will continue to be key in its increased global activity supplying specialist flange spreading, flange aligning and flange pulling tools in over 40 countries worldwide through its comprehensive network of international distributors.
Earlier this year Equalizer celebrated its 20th Anniversary in business by holding an award ceremony commemorating one of its founders, Graham Stephen, brother of Bob, the company’s Operations and Training Director and in 2013 the company opened an office in Houston, Texas which looks after its activities in the western hemisphere. The company continues to go from strength to strength not only through design, manufacture and supply of tools but through hands-on product training delivered to distributors and end-users alike.
