Flange maintenance solutions expert, Equalizer International marks its 20th Anniversary with dinner and awards ceremony
To mark its 20th Anniversary in style, Equalizer International celebrated by holding a dinner and awards ceremony at the Ardoe House Hotel in Aberdeen, Scotland on a glorious evening in May. The event appeared in the Press & Journal, YL Diary on 7th June.
The occasion was held not only to observe the conmpany's 20 years in business but also to thank members of staff and distributors for their hard work making the company the global success it is today with tools distributed in over 40 countries worldwide; a far cry from its humble beginnings in director, Bob Stephen's garden shed.
The highlight of the event, attended by 50 members of staff along with their partners and several international distributors from Mexico, Vienna, Houston and Chicago, was the launch of three annual awards for Global Distribution, including one to commemorate Bob's late brother Graham who conceived the initial idea and co-founded Future Alignments with Bob as Equalizer was then known. An article covering the story behind the award was published in the Press & Journal Tribute section on 10th June.
Following on from Graham's original design of a new type of flange alignment unit, Equalizer now designs, manufactures and supplies a range of specialist flange maintenance tools in both mechanical and hydraulic form which can be used during construction, commissioning or maintenance and are designed to work on all flange specifications from British Standard to DIN, ANSI, API and SPO compact. Continuing the trend from the early years of product development, Equalizer launched another two products in 2013/2014 and with a 30% jump in sales it has been one of the best years in the company's history.
